Some guests have experienced occasional wait times during peak hours, particularly on Tuesday evenings, when the inn reaches 100% capacity. Visited the Malt Shovel twice while staying locally. Great service and really good food - big helpings and sensible prices. The tall young man behind the bar was charming and very welcoming. Recommend it.
Absolutely amazing place, staff and food. Been here many times and never have had to complain about anything. Food is delicious and always served hot, no matter if there is 2 of us or 15 of us. Lovely beer garden, cant mention the rooms as never seen or stayed but look lovely over looking the beer garden. Can't thank Julie, Scott and staff enough.
Not bad at all 👍nice village location with peace and quiet. Nice motel style rooms. Good food. Only had a one night stay while passing through but would happily stay longer next time.
Another trip to the 'Queen of Sunday Roasts' but this time a midweek visit. Did not disappoint...steak, herb cod and pork wellington...yum! Sensible portions, great service, tasty food and good beer. We will definitely be back!
